HELVETICA CAFE IN CHINA

On 12th May 2008 the Sichuan earthquake hit the city of Dujiangyan which was the closest to the epicenter. The city suffered severe damage. Within 2 years a 50 km high speed railway line to the Sichuan Province Capital ChengDu was built and several re-construction projects were launched. On 1st October 2011, IDC – Sichuan Shenjing Investement Management Company opened the Helvetica Café in the new up-scale Yi Street area of Dujiangyan. CEO Zachary Fournier developed a concept offering western food, a European atmosphere with six private dining rooms bearing the names of Swiss destinations, such as Montana, Zermatt, Geneva, etc. In addition, there are 60 seats in the café and another 60 on the terrace.

The Yi Street area is designed to become the high-end tourist destination of the City including the future construction of a 5-star Shangri-La Hotel. http://www.idc-ch.com/
