The Backstage Hotel @ Vernissage will be the place to be during the Zermatt Unplugged festival fearturing Seal this year http://www.zermatt-unplugged.ch/ . Musicians, artists and members of the Friends of Zermatt Unplugged Club all stay there. The candelabra that decorates the large festival marquee is the centrepiece of the hotel lobby during the rest of the year. 
The beautiful Backstage Boutique hotel created by Heinz Julen and run by his wife Evelyne, at the very heart of Zermatt is a designer jewel, small but beautiful. The hotel bears Heinz Julen's signature, and each piece of furniture has been hand-made in his Zermatt studio.
